La Leche League International (LLLI) gives
breastfeeding support and information to more than 200,000 women every month
in 62 countries around the globe. We are recognized as the world's foremost
authority on breastfeeding through our mother-to-mother support groups,
reference library and database, and through our continuing education
programs for health care providers. LLL is an international, nonprofit,
nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, support, and
encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.
World Walk will be August 12 from 9 am to 3 pm.
It will be held at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. Walk is being
build as a "Family Fun Festival". Admission is $1 for adults and
children are free. There will be free arts and crafts; shopping and a moon

Santa Clarita's 2nd annual Walk for Breastfeeding
Awareness. La Leche League of Santa Clarita will be having a
Breastfeeding Awareness Walk on Saturday July 29th, 4:00 p.m. The
walk begins and ends at Borders Books on Valencia Center Drive. Please bring
your entire family! It is a family friendly walk (strollers / Slings are
welcome). After the walk, there will be a guest speaker followed by drawings
for prizes. Each family walking will receive one free ticket for our
drawings. Our goal is to promote breastfeeding and to raise money for our
local Santa Clarita group. Our local walk is part of La Leche Leagues
International 2000 World Walk.
