COMMUNITY
As a community based organization, the Task Force realizes that everyone in Los Angeles has a stake in breastfeeding outcomes; increases in breastfeeding help not only the mothers and children involved, but also society through decreased health care costs and other economic benefits.

The Breastfeeding Task Force of Greater Los Angeles is proud to hold Community Workgroup meetings in which members of the Task Force and others can share their thoughts and experiences about how to get the LA community involved in and excited about breastfeeding.
The meetings consist of breastfeeding advocates and community leaders who believe that promoting breastfeeding in the community is a worthwhile endeavor.

Current projects include community outreach and networking with hospitals, county officials, community activists, community based organizations, and health professionals to improve breastfeeding rates in LA County hospitals.

We would love to see you at our next meeting!
