Summit

The Breastfeeding Task Force of Greater Los Angeles holds a Hospital Breastfeeding Summit every two years that brings together a select group of decision makers in the health care community who are actively involved with improving hospitals' capacity to support breastfeeding.

Summits were held in 2008 and 2010. The next summit will take place in fall of 2012.

Attendees:

• Hospitals: Chief Executive Officers, Chief Nursing Officers, Quality Improvement Directors, Maternity Care Directors
• Public Health: Area Health Officers and Supervisors, Maternal Child Health Directors and Supervisors, Chronic Disease Prevention Directors and Supervisors
• Public Policy: State, County, and key decision makers: Elected Officials, District Deputies, and Health Deputies
