the
American
Academy of Pediatrics released new
recommendations
aimed at further reducing the incidence of Sudden
Infant Death
Syndrome (SIDS).
Press coverage emphasized new
recommendations
on the avoidance of bedsharing and the recommendation
to
use pacifiers, and downplayed widespread concerns among
researchers,
infant sleep and breastfeeding experts.
