The task force is pleased to announce that we are growing and we are looking for volunteers! If you have passion in promoting and educating the community about breastfeeding, we need your help!

Education

Plan and implement breastfeeding seminars. Volunteers coordinate with local hospitals, design and distribute brochures, contact speakers, apply for continuing education credits, register attendees and staff the Task Force tables at the events.  This committee is actively recruiting new volunteers to help with the 2004 seminar series. 

Breastfeeding Resource Directory. 

Contact people who would like to be listed in the Directory.  This involves email and telephone follow up.

Recommend updates to our site.  Write Newsletter articles

Advocacy & Public Policy

Join us in working toward creating systemic changes by promoting legislation, policies, media portrayals and other institutional changes that promote, support and protect breastfeeding.

Fact Sheets

Review the current breastfeeding scientific literature and revise our Breastfeeding Facts Sheets

Public & Media Relations

Help with the soon-to-be launched media campaign.  Reach us at psa@breastfeedla.org.

Outreach

Coordinate with other California Breastfeeding Advocates

Funding & Items For Sale

Seek and review grant applications for Task Force activities.  Develop and market Items for Sale.

Breastfeeding Works

Organize Lactation Accommodation Law Seminars.  Develop the Breastfeeding Friendly Employer Award Program. 

Quarterly Meetings
