As the newest member of the WIC Works Resource System,
it is my pleasure to announce some of the new sections available on our
site:
In honor of World
Breastfeeding Week we have added Spotlight

on World Breastfeeding Week, where you can find
links to breastfeeding resources and find out how other states and
organizations are celebrating this event. You can also find information and
order materials on the Fathers Supporting Breastfeeding Project of the Food
and Nutrition Service (FNS). We will keep this section up on the site
throughout the month of August, however many of the new resources will find
permanent homes in our Breastfeeding Promotion Section of the Learning
Center.
Another new section is the
Loving

Support Makes Breastfeeding Work Campaign, a cooperative
agreement between the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) and Best Start Social
Marketing, Inc. to promote and support breastfeeding in State WIC Programs.
Here you will find the goals of the project, campaign target areas, list of
states involved, and information on how to order Loving Support promotional
materials.
In addition, there are always new resources being
added to the Learning and Sharing Centers, such as the Fit WIC

Projects, with background information and education materials
from the states that participated.
Here at WIC Works, we strive
to meet the needs of the WIC Community and we are always looking to add new
resources to the site. If your state has developed materials for World
Breastfeeding Week or you have anything else you would like to contribute to
our Sharing Center, please contact us here at WIC Works.
